What do you think of Smash Bros. Brawl? Great game, right? Yeah, we think so, too. Is it missing something, though? Perhaps extra characters?
According to ONM, Sakurai himself cut a couple of characters from the roster. “I had a lot more characters, for example.. but sadly I can’t discuss which ones didn’t make it,” he said to ONM in an interview that’ll be featured in their next issue, hitting newsstands on Friday. How does that sit with you?
For us, it’s not much of a huge deal. The game’s already packed with a ton of characters, and even includes wonderful bits of fan service in Solid Snake and Sonic the Hedgehog. So, we’re not complaining.

The large news over at DS Fanboy got us thinking about how Sega has been using the Wii to unleash updated Dreamcast titles on us. Titles such as Samba de Amigo and House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return. Since the DS got the Cadillac of dream remakes/updates (we’re still not sure yet), we were wondering what dream title, from the most dreamy of past consoles, would you want to see remade for Wii? Virtua Cop? We call dibs. Jet Grind Radio? Nice choice. Shenmue, right?

The next Boogie is only rumored to include Balance Board support, but a dancing game is coming out in Japan that features a style perfect for the Wii Fit peripheral: hula. That’s right, you’ll now be able to seductively wiggle those hips of yours and call it a game. So many Japanese Wii owners have Wii Fit that we don’t see userbase being an issue, as the peripheral will be required (not optional) to play this title.
Keep in mind, though, that the game’s publisher (Milestone) didn’t officially announce Hula Wii: Minna de Hula wo Odorou (Dance Hula Together); a listing was discovered on a Japanese online retailer’s site, revealing the release date as September 25th.

Yeah, well, contrary to what we were saying earlier, it appears Eternity’s Child will indeed be coming to the North American WiiWare service. Why? Well, it’s hard to explain, but Alten8’s CEO Paul Andrews spoke to WiiWare World and droned on about Luc Bernard, concepts, formats and the like.
The moral of the story is — it’s coming to America. After ratings are complete it will “go out as closely as possible in Europe and NA regions.” That’s about as far as details go, because it’s being ported right now from the original PC version.
Is Luc Bernard the man? An army of now-happy WiiWare gamers will be the judge of that when the game finally hits the downloadable intertrons.

If British accents annoy you, do not click this link. This one. Right here. It will take you to the Feel Great Britain website, where group after group of chortling, crumpet-eating British lads and lasses have a go at Wii Fit. The site is designed to complement to upcoming Feel Great Britain tour, running through July and August.
Nintendo aren’t just sitting back and letting Wii Fit sell itself (which it does quite nicely, thanks). It’s good to see they understand that exercising is an ongoing activity, and they’re willing to actively support the product during the months ahead. If you happen to be British and haven’t balanced your way to fitness yet, check out the website for official tour dates.

With Rock Band 2 being officially announced yesterday, we’re wondering which will be the better package for Wii fans, it or Guitar Hero: World Tour. We know World Tour is going to be an honest-to-goodness real port of the game, without any features being lost in the port to Wii. As for Rock Band 2, well, we don’t know too much about features.
Which one looks superior to you right now? Plan on picking up either? Not really a large fan of the genre? What say you all?

Rune Factory Frontier is looking too hot for its own good, as evidenced by these newest screens. We gobble up each piece of Frontier media with such frenzy, it’s as if we grew them ourselves! Get it? Growing, eating, the whole Harvest Moon thing? Funny? No?
These images need a wee bit of explanation. The above menu represents the new ring command system, allowing for maximum efficiency while harvesting those sweet, sweet runes. Different items can be assigned to each slot in the item ring, so you can grab anything you need on the fly. It’s not the most mind-blowingly original feature (any attacking runes for massive damage?), but rather more evidence that Rune Factory Frontier won’t disappoint. More screens after the break!

We didn’t just get one WiiWare game and one Virtual Console game this week. We also got … some DLC for Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King! Well, that’s much superior! The new content includes four new dungeons:
- the Infinity Spire pack for 300 points, which contains two dungeons, one of which levels up when it’s finished,
- Castle Renovation for 100 points, a dungeon that enables you to rename your adventurers and listen to the game’s music in a jukebox mode,
- the Library for 200 points, a dungeon that adds libraries to the game and lets you teach your adventurers skills.
In addition, for 100 points each, you can purchase new outfits for the King and Chime. That’s right, the Chime bikini DLC has finally arrived. Just in time for summer for furtive, shameful downloading!
